108 day long ‘Vishwa Mangala Gou Grama Yathra’ will commence on 30 September 2009. The hope and goal of this journey is rejuvenation of the cow and our villages, leading to welfare of the universe. The Yatra will traverse through the nook and corner of India, covering a distance of about 20,000 Km. there will be 15,000 sub journeys at all district and taluk level covering a total distance of 10 lakh Km.

All the cow lovers and Devotees have joined under one banner supporting the cause promoted by Shree Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji of Ramchandrapur Math, situated at Shimoga dist. in the south Indian state of Karnataka.
The purpose of the yatra are as follows:

Demand to declare cow as the national animal.
Demand on the central government to formulate laws to preserve various breeds of Indian cows.
Demand the state governments to take responsibility of cow protection and development activities.
Demand to protect the purity of Indian breeds of cows by stopping cross breeding.
Signature campaign resulting in an appeal to the President of India with crores together signatures.
Immediate action for protection and growth of the remaining 33 breeds of Indian cows.
Show the path of organic farming and check farmers’ suicide.
Stop uncontrolled migration of villagers to towns and cities.
Educate the farmer that cow is not giver of milk alone. It is important that it is the farmers’ responsibility to care and protect the cow.
Educate the farmer about the gains of using oxen for farming and positive effects of organic farming.
Develop products related with cow. Create market for products from cow urine and dung.
Encourage agriculture related handicraft.
Understand the divine nature of cow.

Prosperity of villages by devotion to cow, progress of the nation from that of villages, leading to the progress of the world.
Sooner or latter all intelligent persons have to realize the importance of Srila Prabhupda’s Instructions on the fundamental principles of Varnashrama Dharma Land, Krishna & Cows- which is the only solace for all sufferings of this world. Lets us all resolve to Moving Back to the Cow, Back to the Villages, and Back to the Nature. What a wonderful way to go back to Godhead.
